Entertainment and Fiestas in and around Mazarrón

The Town Hall organise many attractions for tourists, particularly for young people who can enjoy mountain walking, sub-aqua diving, sailing and a variety of other activities during the holiday season. There is live music and a street party most evenings during the Summer on the Paseo.

5 of January
Kings Magos. Arrival of Kings Magos in boats to Port of Mazarrón; cavalcade by the main streets and delivery of young toys to loa in the Seat of the Independent Communities, continuation until Mazarrón; again crossed by the main streets and delivery of toys to the children in San Andrés. On the following day the Car of Kings Magos is celebrated.

19 of March
San Jose. Supervisory celebrations of Port of Mazarrón. From one week before popular verbenas are celebrated, sport activities, Monumental Fault in the Beach of the Port with dolls that criticize occurred the last year, race of torches.

Easter
Mazarrón and Puerto. Thursday and Good Friday, processions from the 9 at night.

Celebration of the Corpus
Pedanía of the Watchtower. Popular verbenas, gastronomical tasting.

Port of Mazarrón. Procesión with altars in the street, centennial tradition, march past young dresses in comunión.

Celebrations of summer
Port of Mazarrón. From first of Julio at the end of August sport, cultural activities, popular verbenas, musical performances are celebrated almost to newspaper.

Virgin of the Carmen. Port of Mazarrón. Mass of campaign in the Market of the fish, Procesión Marine-Terrestrial with the Pattern of the fishermen. Tens of boats engalanados with flags multicolors accompany to the Virgin in the procession.

Pedanía de Leyva. Popular verbenas, sport, cultural activities, procession of the Virgin.

Santiago Apostle. Pedanía de Ifre-Pastrana. Popular verbenas, sport and cultural activities.

Santa Maria. Pedanía of the Majada. Popular verbenas, musical performances, sport, cultural election of Reinas of the Celebrations, activities, chocolatada.

17 of November
Celebrations of the Miracle. Bolnuevo and Mazarrón. Sunday previous to day 17 the Purest one rises the Pattern, of Bolnuevo to Mazarrón; later Sunday lowers in romería until its hermitage in Bolnuevo. During this week acts like the floral offering to the Virgin are celebrated, religious processions and activities.

The Sunday of the Romería parades of Moors and Christians are celebrated, commemorating the morisca invasion to our coast that was the reason that the Virgin interyielded miraculously, expelling the Algerians from our coast; it was at dawn of the 17 of November of 1585. Popular verbenas, musical performances, gastronomical tasting with typical plates like the "Moraga", Migas ruleras, etc are celebrated

4 of December
Santa Barbara, Mazarrón. Procesión with Santa (Pattern of the Miners), until the pylon of the mines. Popular mass, games, verbena.

8 of December
The Purest one. Mazarrón. The celebrations begin Sunday previous to the 17 of November. During all these days the sport activities, cultural, popular verbenas, musical performances, election of Reinas of the Celebrations are celebrated infantile, youthful and third age. It is the Great Celebration of the municipality in honor to the pattern of Villa.

28 of December
Innocent saints. Pedanía of the Balsicas. One of the oldest celebrations of the region. Demonstration of "rebuznos", dances and you sing typical "Bid up", gastronomical tasting, mass to the Pattern.
